Word was received in Williamsport on Sunday of the death of James Pope at Camp Meade, Maryland of pneumonia. For several years he was in business at Williamsport the last few years being manager of the Diamondstone store. He was a fine business man, energetic and with modern ideas and he made many friends in both Warren and Fountain counties. He was a young man of excellent character, pleasing personality and many fine traits. He had been in the service but a short time.
