PONDER, Freda - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Freda Pauline Ponder, 73 of Rt. 2, Veedersburg died Thursday, April 2, 1993 at her home.  She had moved here in May of 1991 from Danville, Ill.  She was a former employee of Continental Filling and the cafeteria at North Ridge Jr. High in Danville.  She was born Sept 7, 1918 in Danville, the daughter of Leslie and Hazel McClure Hughes. She married Luther E. Ponder Sr, Dec 5, 1936 in Covington. He survives. Also surviving are three sons: Roy E. Ponder of Rt 2, Veedersburg; Robert Dale (Patricia) Ponder of Covington and Luther Ponder, Jr of Rt 2, Veedersburg; one daughter, Nancy Carol House of Danville; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, a son and two great grandchildren. Visitation was Friday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington.  Service on Saturday at the Funeral Home with Warren Allen officiating.  Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville. – kbz – thanks to Dellie
