POINTER, Letha Pearson

Crawfordsville—Letha Lucille Pointer, 91, 1420 Elm St., Crawfordsville, died Friday evening, June 2, 1989 in Culver Union Hospital.
She was born Sept. 19, 1897 at Kingman, the daughter of James and Rebecca Elmore Pearson. She was first married to Oliver Paxton in 1912 and he died the same year. She then was married to Lee Pointer in 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1967.
She was educated in Kingman and Veedersburg schools. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Piper, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Dale (Pat) Anderson, Minot, S. D.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. George (Janice) Bailey, Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, two sons and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Father Michael McKinley officiating. Burial was in Mace Community Cemetery.
Rosary service was at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. – thanks to S
