POINDEXTER, Dollie Kerr - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Dollie Poindexter, 69, of Attica, RR 3, passed away at her home at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, Dec 4.  Mrs. Poindexter was born on Dec 19, 1892 at Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles and May Kerr. She was one of 7 children. On Oct 27, 1911 she was united in marriage with Herschell Poindexter who survives. They moved to Benton County, Indiana in 1919 and to their present home in Warren County in 1940 where Mr. Poindexter has been engaged in farming. She was a member of the Christian Church of Boswell, Indiana. Other survivors include four sons, Carson and Omer both of Wadena, Indiana; Robert of Attica and Lawrence of Veedersburg and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Neal and Mrs. Ruby Redman of Lafayette and Mrs. Elva Lank of Templeton Indiana. Funeral services will be held at the Shipp Funeral Home in Oxford at 2 p.m. on Friday Dec 7, Rev. Miller of Lafayette will officiate. Burial will be in the Boswell cemetery. – kbz
