MRS. LIDA A. PIXLEY of Linden, was found dead in bed Sunday morning by her son, Fred Pixley. The deceased had been ailing for some times past but on Saturday evening was feeling better. Mrs. Pixley retired about ten o’clock Saturday night. Sunday morning at five o’clock her son, Fred Pixley, got up to build a fire and when he entered his mother’s chamber he found her dead. Her hands were folded upon her breast and the end must have been very peaceful. The deceased was eighty three and was born in Ohio and when five years of age she came to Montgomery county and has since resided there. During the last 37 years she has resided in Linden. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Methodist church. She leaves four children, John and Fred of Linden; Mrs. Viola Brant of Lafayette, and Mrs. Jennie Adams, who resides in Kansas. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Methodist church. The services were in charge of the Rev. S. G. Howard. - S
