PITZER, Dale

Dale R. Pitzer, 30, of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, former Montgomery County youth agent and a teacher at North Montgomery High School, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 1978 in his home. Pitzer was a Williamsport native, a graduate of Veedersburg High School and Purdue University. At Purdue, he received two degrees from the School of Communications. He was a director of the Youth Service Bureau and a former member of the Indiana National Guard at Rockville. He was a member of Purdue Alumni Association and St. Bernard Catholic Church. Mr. Pitzer was born June 6, 1947, a son of Forrest and Florence Crudge Pitzer. He married Joan Leavell on May 18, 1974. She survives. Other survivors include his parents; a brother, Donald of Oakland, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Newkirk of Covington and Mrs. Jean Clifton of Kokomo; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Iva Pitzer and Mrs. Flossie Crudge both of Attica. Private family services in Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Maupin officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – jlr
