PITHOUD, Velma Moore
This awesome lady lived to be 104 years old. Here is a letter from her daughter Margaret Pithoud Buser (who herself lived to be 90).

Kingman -- Velva B. Pithoud, 104, Route 1, Kingman, died April 1, 1993 at the Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton. She was born at Kingman, May 20 1888, the daughter of Henry J. and Flora Myers Moore. She was married Nov. 10 1915 to Lemuel Pithoud. He preceded in death on Feb. 8 1960. She was a lifelong resident of the Kingman com munity, except for the past few years, when she resided at the Vermillion Convalescent Center, Clinton. She was a 1909 graduate of Kingman High School and was its oldest alumna. She attended the Kingman Christian Church and held membership in the Indianapolis Daughters of Union Veterans organization. Surviving are: two sons, Elisha Pithoud, Route 1, Kingman; Henry Pithoud, rural Bloomingdale; three daughters, Margaret Annabelle (Franklin) Buser, Stroudsburg, Penn.; Patricia (Jake) Lape, Danville, Ill.; Portia (Richard) Hathaway, rural Kingman; a sister, Cecil Keifer, Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, one grandchild a nd one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman, with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery -- thanks Betty D.
