Homer, Ill.—Emerick J. Pinter, 75, Homer, died at 6:46 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 1989, at Burnham Hospital, Champaign, Ill.
  He was born Jan. 17, 1914 in Westminster, Kan., the son of Anton and Veronica Malnar Pinter. He was married July 4, 1936 in Covington to Nella Florence Anderson, who survives.

  He was a member of the Church of Christ in Catlin, Ill. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge and a member of the American Legion Post 290 of Homer and a member of the Pipe fitters Local 250 of Los Angeles for 25 years. He was a World War II veteran.

  Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Darlene Gielan, Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Albert, Catlin, and Carl, Danville, and one sister, Emma Pinter, Catlin. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

  Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Freese Funeral Home, Sidney, Ill., with the Rev. Hugh York officiating. Burial was in GAR Cemetery, Homer. – thanks to S
