PINKERTON, Charles

Charles Pinkerton, a veteran of the World War and one of the active members of the Charles Forest (sic) American Legion post at veedersburg died suddenly at his home Friday. He had been il for the past year, but was not regarded to have been in a serious condition until Thursday. His illness consisted of complications caused from stomach trouble. He had worked at the Indiana Condensed Milk Company plant and was employed there until the first of February. He was born at Coal Bluff, Indiana and had lived in Veedersburg for the past 12 years and was the son of John Pinkerton. His wife, formerly Bertha Florey, survives. Besides the widow, those surviving include a daughter, Ruth Ellen; a son , Carol. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the family residence with Rev. OW McGaughey in charge. Burial was at Beulah cemetery, north of Veedersburg. The Charles Forrest (sic) post of the Legion took part in the services.
