Stone Bluff – Word was received by Elinor Abolt near Stone Bluff of the death of Mrs. Myrtle M. (Smith) Pierce, 90 of Logan, Iowa. Mrs. Pierce was born Jan 24, 1878 and died Nov 20. She was a niece of the late John R. Babb who resided near Veedersburg. Mrs. Audrey Whiting of Veedersburg is a cousin of Mrs. Pierce. Mrs. Pierce is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Poole of Omaha, Nebraska and a son, Myron of Omaha and several grandchildren. She was a resident of Logan< Iowa and has several cousins in the Newtown area. - kbz
