PIERCE, Hazel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Newtown, Ind.—Services were at 2 p.m. today at the Crumley Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro for Mrs. Hazel V. Pierce, 76, of Newtown. She died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (May 4, 1974) at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville.

  The Rev. Donald Watson and the Rev. David Fuller officiated, with burial in Newtown Cemetery.

  She was born March 1, 1898, in Jefferson County, Iowa, the daughter of William M. and Merta Babb Pierce. On Sept. 20, 1930, she was married to Mort Pierce, who survives.

  Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Newtown United Methodist Church and Untied Methodist Women. She attended school in Logan, Iowa.

  A sister preceded her in death.
