Lafayette—Marjorie Pickett, 54, 3806-D Ashford Court, Lafayette, died Thursday evening, June 1, 1989, in Americana Healthcare Center, following an extended illness.

  She was born March 16, 1935 in Illinois. She was married May 3, 1953 to William White who preceded her in death June 10, 1971. She was married Oct. 16, 1971 to George Pickett, who survives.

  She attended Marshall, (Ind.) School and formerly worked at Essex Wire. She was a member of AARP.

  Surviving besides her husband are a son, Ricky White, Lafayette; two daughters, Precious Briscoe, West Lafayette, and Janet Wentworth, Port Angeles, Wash.; her mother, Fern Gooding, Crawfordsville; one sister, Mildred Thomas, Route 3, Veedersburg; a brother, Vernon Gooding, Crawfordsville, and seven grandchildren.

  Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Susan Deverall officiating.
