PHIPPS, Arthur - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg -- Arthur Phipps, 81, a retired farmer d. at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at Rudisill Nursing Home, Covington where he had been a patient one week. Mr. Phipps was a member of the Scotts Prairie Christian Church. He was born Dec 19, 1885 in Byron, Ind, a son of George and Margaret Skaggs Phipps. His parents died when he was 12 and he lived with Mr. and Mrs. George Algood. He married Dot Isley Aug 21, 1917. She preceeed him in death November 9 1965. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Doris) Dotson of Decatur, Ill and Mrs. Merill (Margaret) Brown of Duncan Miss and a granddau. Fun. serv. will be conducted at 10;30 a.m. Thursday at Centenial EUB Church with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cem. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding service.
