PHILPOTT, Herschel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman Ind - Herschel Philpott, 52 died at 10 p.m. Thursday Dec 12, 1957 at his home 3 miles E. of Kingman. A farmer unitl ill health forced him to retire several months ago, Mr. Philpott was born in Fountain County, July 28, 1905, son of Charles and Harriet Smith Philpott. He was married Oct 2, 1922 to the former Ruby Delp who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Allen and Mrs. Wandaline Leona Rennick, both of Kingman Rt 1; two brothers, Glenn of C'ville Rt 7 and Otha of Madison, Ind and two grandchildren. a brother and sister preceded him in death. The body is at the family residence where firends will be received after 8 p.m. Friday and untl one hour before services at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Freedom Church near Wallace. The Rev. John Servies will officiate with burial in Kingman Fraternal Cem. The Woodrow Funderal Service of Kingman is in charge.
