Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Philpott, a former Kingman resident, who died at the home of her son, Claude Philpott, Covington were held at the United Brethern Church Sunday afternoon. The service was in charge of the Rev. Win Sherrill, a former pastor of the church. Music was furnished by William Sowers, Scott Ratcliff, Hiram Brown and Paul Young, accompanied by Mrs. Ratcliff. Pallbearers were her son, Claude, Pearl and Milton Stewart, James Hepler, George Cory and Fred Philpott. Flower bearers were Miss Leora Marshall, Mrs. HH Puckett, Mrs. Eva Sanders, Mrs. RObert Newnum, Mrs. Clem Ratcliff and Mrs. Etta Sowers. Mrs. Philpott was a member of the UB Church and Ladies Aid and the Kingman Rebekah Lodge.
Note: According to papemortuary.com she was born in Parke County, Indiana 9-6-1858, daughter of William A. Stewart and Mary A. Ward; died 6-29-1944 and is buried in Harveysburg Cemetery.
