Veedersburg (1944) -- Last rites for Chris Pevler, who died at his home near Thorntown, the result of a stroke of paralysis suffered Sunday were in Lebanon Tuesday. Mr. Pevler was born here on June 6, 1874 the son of Leonard and Amelia Pevler. For many years he was manager of a clothing store at Lebanon, later moving to Thorntown. He was twice married, first to bertha Hoover and following her death to Edith Price who survives along with one son Herman and two daughters, Mary and Emma. Mrs. BF Myers of this city is a sister of the deceased. Those from here attending the funeral held at Lebanon Tuesday included Mr. and Mrs. BF Myers; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Myers and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Myers and family. -- kbz
