Lafayette—Steven J. Pettery, 20, 1121 N. Eighth St., Lafayette, died at 12:35 p.m. Friday, March 31, 1989, in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been ill since Feb. 16, 1989.
He was born May 23, 1968 in Indianapolis, the son of Richard Arnold Sr. and Lucy Nadine Roarks Pettery. He was reared in and formerly resided in West Lebanon. He moved to Lafayette four years ago. He attended Seeger High School and West Lebanon Nazarene Church.
He had been a stock clerk at Marsh Supermarket in West Lafayette for two years.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, David and Richard Arnold Jr., and two sisters, Brenda and Ruth Ann Pettery, all of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Joe.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, with the Rev. Michael Roarks officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Visitation was 5-9 p.m. Monday. -s
