Services were held Sunday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, Iowa, for Mrs. Blanche Peterson, 77, formerly of Covington, who died Thursday (January 5, 1978) at her Colfax home. Burial was in Colfax.
She was born March 27, 1900 in Covington, Ind., the daughter of William and Ida Gouty Briles. She married Frank Morgan in 1919. He died in 1973. She married Ray Peterson in 1974, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Harry Morgan of Maxwell, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bertha Hamil of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Glant Schlosser and Mrs. Grace Beals of Colfax, Mrs. Lula Lutz of Des Moines and Mrs. Dorothy Polodna of Prairie Du Chien, Wis.; two brothers, George Briles of Collins, Iowa, and Herschel Briles of Colfax; and many cousins living in the Covington area.
