Herbert Perrin, 66, of 1100 Brady, died Friday (June 25, 1971) at St.. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been ill five years and seriously ill the past two years. He was born in Catlin, Ind., on Sept. 20, 1904, the son of William and June Ross Perrin. He was married Sept. 23, 1925, in Covington, to Edith Rogers. Mr. Perrin attended Rockville High. He had been a machinist at the C and D Battery Co. for 14 years, retiring in 1969. Before that, he had been employed at Neal Gravel Co., Harrison Steel Castings Co. and was the street commissioner for the city of Attica. He was a volunteer fireman for 20 years. He was a member of Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Catlin. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Hillyer of Attica; a son, William of Lafayette; two brothers, William Leo of Pontiac, Mich. and Phillip of Saginaw, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Minderman of Rockville and seven grandchildren. A son and daughter preceded him in death. Services Sunday at the Roemer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Bachert officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
