PEAVELER, Vaughn Orval - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Vaughn Orval Peaveler of RR 1, Covington, age 78, died Tuesday evening, July 7, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Crothersville, March 14, 1908, the son of Benjamin F. and Grace Phillips Peaveler. He was married on January 19, 1925, to Nora M. Curtis, who died July 7, 1945. March 23, 1946, he married Clara Ellen Garrison, who died December 25, 1976.

  Peaveler was a member of Englewood Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, both in Indianapolis, where he was a machinist at Schwitzer Corporation until retiring in 1968.

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Stump of Reseda, California; a son, Robert E. of Chino, California; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. – thanks to S
