DANVILLE, Ill. — Raymond Pearson
Jr., 80 Danville, Ill., died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 in North Logan
Health Center, Danville, Ill. He was born Dec. 18, 1925 in Attica, the son of
Raymond and Ossie L. (Ottinger) Pearson. He married Betty J. Martin Aug. 15,
1948 in Attica. She survives. He was raised in Attica and graduated from Attica
High School in 1943. He had lived most of his life in Danville, Ill.la He
served in the U. S. Army during World War II and received the Bronze Star
Medal. He worked as a section foreman for the Wabash Railroad and Norfolk &
Western Railroad for 44 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the
Railroad Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and sketching. Survivors, besides the
wife, include: a daughter, Sharon A. (Tony) Greenburg, Danville, Ill.; two
sons, Steve A. Pearson and Kyle D. Pearson, both of Danville, Ill.; a sister,
Diane Moss, Rockville; a brother, Bill (Rita) Pearson, Rossville, Ill.; four
grandchildren, Mike, Robbie and Mark Greenburg and Josh Flowers; and seven
great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Janet, Theodore, Nicole, Morgan, Ryan and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Rose Pearson.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with
Pastor Bob Elness officiating. Burial with military services was in Riverside
