VEEDERSBURG — Mary E. Pearson, 76, died Tuesday July 29, 2008 at her residence in Veedersburg. Born March 25, 1932 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin A. and Lynnie M. (Cartwright) Kinneer. She married Merl E. Pearson July 3, 1954. He preceded her in death. Surviving, are: a daughter, Debra (Joe) Gulley of Veedersburg; a son, Mark E. Pearson of Plainfield; a sister, Ruby Yanak of St. Albans, W.V.; three grandsons, Eric (Jainy) Gulley, Matthew Gulley and Jason (Natalie) Gulley, all of Veedersburg; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby, Trace, Luke, Kaleb, Morgan, Jessi, and Levi; special friends and neighbors, of Veedersburg, Glenda Linker, Brenda and Scott Grimes and family. She was also preceded in death by a son Michael Pearson, one brother and one sister. Mary had been employed in the Canteen at the V.A. Medical Center in Danville, Ill.; she also volunteered her time at the hospital helping the DAV and American Legion serve the veterans. She enjoyed tending to flower gardens and caring for her tropical fish aquarium. Mary had chosen cremation and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment at West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home. – jlr
