James William Pearson, son of John & Fanny Pearson, was born on a farm near Waynetown IN June 12, 1866. The greater part of his young manhood was spent in that community. On Dec 20, 1888 he was united in married to Mary E. Sowers. Later the deceased moved his family to a farm near Wallace. Here, 3 years later, a son, Oral A. was born. The great part of the family's life was spent near Yeddo, where they placed their membership in the Christian Church at that plae. Later, moving to Kingman, he transferred his membership tot he Christian Church, where he remained until the end. He had very good health until a severe fall which he received July 6, 1923. While all was done that could be done, yet without avail for at 8'lcock, March 29, 1924, he passed peacefully way at the age of 57 years 9 months 17 days, leaving to mourn his wife, Mary, one son, Oral A of Waynetown two sisters, Mrs. Nettie parker of Silverwood, and Mrs. Eliz. Livengood of Wallace, and two brothers, Charles Pearson of Hartford City and West Pearson of Urbana, Ill. He was a devoted father, a good neighbor and a true friend. He had often said he wanted no flowery obituary, for he believed his life would be remembered as he lived.
