Fern J. Pearson, 71, of Riverside, died at 6 p.m. Monday (Feb. 10, 1969) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been a patient there since noon Sunday and had been ill since November. Born Jan. 17, 1898, near Riverside, he was the son of Newton and Malinda Hogstrum Pearson. He had resided in Riverside all of his life. He was married Sept. 22, 1917, at Lafayette to Mable Wagoner, who survives. Mr. Pearson had been a grinder at Harrison Steel Castings Co. for 35 years before retiring in 1963. Prior to that time, he had been a section hand on the Wabash Railroad. He was a member of the Attica Eagles Lodge. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fawbush of Lafayette, Mrs. Lucile Chastain and Mrs. Louise Buster, both of Riverside; a brother, Orville of Riverside; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Ray and Mrs. Floy Held, both of Riverside, and Mrs. Helen Troxell of Lafayette; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services Thursday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond Foraker officiated. Burial in Bethel Cemetery, east of Attica. --- typed by CA.
