Mrs. Agnes Pearson, 64, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday Dec 15, 1952 at her home in Cates after an illness of 18 months. She had been seriously ill two months. Mrs. Pearson was born March 11, 1888 in Cates, daughter of Henry Clay and Sarah Abernathy Witsman. She was married in 1912 to Homer Pearson who survives. She was a life resident of Cates community and was a member of the EUB Church there. Also surviving are two brothers, Hugh Witsman of near Kingman and Albert Witsman of Cates; two sisters, Mrs. Lacie Pavey of Cates and Mrs. Catharine Purle of Covington; a half sister, Mrs. Martha Dilts of St. Paul, Ind and several nieces and nephews. The body was returned to the family residence where it will remain until time for services. Funeral services were Wednes (obviously a bit missing but think mainly finished – sorry)
