Osborn Payton, 50, a farmer in the Veedersburg community died at his home here Saturday night at 10 o’clock after an illness of one day. Born Sept 23, 1894 at New Ross? Ind, he was the son of Osborn and Rose Norman Payton. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dark of Veedersburg and Mrs. Florence Stoup of Wallace: a half-brother, Charlie Carr of Veedersburg and a half-sister, Mrs. Lydia Swindler of Wingate. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Centennial United Brethern Church with Rev. Wesley Smith officiating. Burial was in Centennial cemetery.
