COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — John W. Patterson, 82, of 601 N. Fifth, Covington, died at 9 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 16, 1969) at the Danville Care Nursing Home where he had been a patient a year. Born Oct. 1, 1886, in Mill Creek Township, he was a son of Andrew and Indiana Bailey Patterson. He was married in 1907, to Imo P. Glover who preceded him in death Feb. 27, 1958. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Patterson was a member of the Modern Woodmen and the Centennial United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, George of Covington, Ernest of Danville, and Arnold of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Landis of Waynetown and Mrs. Lorraine Zarchone of Decatur, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. May McCormick of Veedersburg; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, a brother and a sister. The body is at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington where friends will be received after noon today. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family requests memorials be in the form of contributions to the Fund for Arthritic Research. --typed by Walt W
