PARKS, Eliza Downing - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Eliza J. PARKS, 75, living with her two sons, six and one half miles NE of the city, died yesterday near the noon hour of a form of brain trouble of which ailment she had been a sufferer for several months. The deceased was born in Ross Co OH Nov 19, 1840. Her maiden name was Dow(n)ing. She married William W. Parks and to them 7 chldren were born, 5 living: Margaret Rodgers of Wallace, James of New Market, Garfield who resides NE of the city and john W. and Charles with whom she made her home. The husband died in 1911. The deceased lived for a time at Smithfield, Ill at which place she joined the United Presbyterian Church. Later the family lived in the neighborhood of Wallace. The funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church east of Wallace Saturday at 2 p.m. and will be in charge of Rev. Hunt. The burial will be in the Cemetery at that place.   -- kbz
