Lafayette—Byrle E. Parks, 75, 28 Torchwood Court, Lafayette, died at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, April 2, 1989, in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been a patient there one month and in failing health since December.
He was born Dec. 31, 1913 in Orleans, Ind., and had resided in Lafayette for five years, moving there from Crawfordsville. He was married May 2, 1942 in Wingate to Frances Krug, who survives.
He attended school in Lafayette. He had been a journeyman printer with Stanford University Press in California for 20 years, retiring in 1976, and formerly worked at R. R. Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 and I.P.C.U. Printers Union.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Jack L., Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Borst, Indianapolis; a brother, Earl F., Lafayette; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Soller-Baker Lafayette Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with the Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. – thanks to S
