PARKS, Barbara Jean - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Barbara Jean Parks of Danville, Illinois, age 56, died Tuesday morning, December 30, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. She was born at Hoopeston, Illinois, June 29, 1924, the daughter of Franklin McClean and Ellen Frances Leonard Thayer. In November of1946, she married Guy O. Parks, who died October 12, 1978.  – thanks to S Mrs. Parks was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and had worked for Walgreen Accounting from 1975 to 1979. Prior to that, she owned and operated a beauty shop.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cynthia Risser of Covington; a son, Gregory of Carbondale, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Doris Dieu of Danville, Illinois; and a brother, Neil Coppenbarger of Clinton, Illinois.

  Funeral mass was said Friday morning at Berhalter Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks to S
