Mellott - Dale H. Parkerson, 66, of Ft. Wayne, died of a heart attack Wednesday at Key West, FL where he was spending the winter. He was born Feb 5 1904 to William and Minnie Tanner Parkerson of Mellott. He was graduated from HS here and from DePauw University. Mr. Parkerson taught in several high schools, including Mellott. He was married to Martha Drollinger of Fountain County. Prior to his recent retirement he operated an office equipment company at Ft. Wayne. His son, Roger, now operates the business. Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Roger and Gary, the latter a freshman at DePauw; a granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. (Wilma) Leon Wiggins of Veedersburg and Mrs. (Kathleen) Howard Holland of Attica. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at McComb and Son Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Ft. Wayne where friends may call after 12 o'clock noon Sunday.   --- typed by kbz

MELLOTT, Ind. - Dale H. Parkerson, 65, formerly of Mellott, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 4 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 28, 1970) at Key West, Fla., where he and his wife had gone to spend the winter. Mr. Parkerson was born Feb. 5, 1904, in Mellott, son of William and Minnie Tanner Parkerson. He was a graduate of Mellott High School and DePauw University. He taught at Mellott High School. Mr. Parkerson was owner and manager of an office equipment company in Ft. Wayne, for many years. Since his retirement, his son, Roger, has managed the business. He was married to the former Martha Drollinger of Kingman. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Roger of Ft. Wayne, Gary, a freshman at DePauw University; two sisters, Mrs. Leon (Wilma) Wiggins of Veedersburg, Mrs. Howard (Kathleen) Holland of Attica; and a granddaughter. The body is being returned to the McComb and Son Funeral Home, 1140 Laker Ave., Ft. Wayne, for 10 a.m. services Monday. Burial will be in Ft. Wayne.
