Hillsboro - Charles Lester Parker, 77, of this community died at 5 p.m. Monday in Lakeview Memorial Hospital at Danville, Ill where he had been a patient two weeks. A son of George and Mary Rush Parker, he was born near Hillsboro Oct 13, 1887. He attended school in Cain Township and farmed all his life. He was married Dec 14, 1910 to Ethel Thomas at the home of her parents south of HIllsboro. She died in 1959. Mr. Parker was a member of Scotts Prairie Christian Church and the HIllsboro Community Booster Club. Survivors include two sons, Gerald of Levittown PA and Chalres C of near Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cronk and Mrs. Mabel Keeling of HIllsboro and 3 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. A brother, Clifford died last year. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Fri at servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. The minister will be Rev. Gerald Babb of Veedersburg. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wed.

HILLSBORO — Funeral services for Charles Lester Parker, age 77, who died at 5 p. m. Monday, April 12, in Lake View Memorial Hospital, Danville, Ill., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. The Rev. Gerald Babb of Veedersburg officiated. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Parker, who had been hospitalized two weeks, was born near Hillsboro Oct. 13, 1887, the son of George and Mary Rush Parker.
