Dr. Carl B. Parker, 71, general practitioner at Wingate died Friday, Nov. 28, 1975, in Culver hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been a patient two weeks. Dr. Parker had practiced medicine at Wingate since 1937. Prior to then, he practiced at Danville. He closed his Wingate office on Christmas eve, 1974, because of failing health and was never able to reopen his practice. Born Aug. 9, 1904, in the Darlington area, he was a son of Frank P. and Ethel Marsh Parker. He was reared in the home of an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Arnold. He was first married to Dorothy Dodson. He was married to Mildred Delks in 1945. She died in 1969. Surviving are a son, Dr. John Parker of Goodland; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Cowlan of R1, Waynetown; six grandchildren and many half-brothers and half-sisters. A granddaughter is deceased. Services were held Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown, Rev. Homer Hunsinger officiating. Burial in IOOF cemetery at Darlington. --typed by Walt W
