Mrs. Lavina O. Park, 51, of 1312 Second Ave., died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 16, 1969) at Lake View Memorial, where she had been a patient since Oct. 12. She had been in ill health six years. Mrs. Park was born in Momence Nov. 17, 1917, a daughter of Everett and Mary Moore Ruggles. She married John Park Nov. 22, 1939, in Covington, Ind., and he survives. She had resided in Danville 30 years. Also surviving are four sons, John of Elgin, Robert, Ronnie, and Paul at home; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Elliott of Appleton, Wis., Sandra Swallow, with the Army at Ft. McClellan, Ala., Nancy and Sharon, both at home; two brothers, Guy Ruggles of Danville, Roy Ruggles of Chicago Heights; and a sister, Mrs. Retha Weidig of Danville. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Mrs. Park was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gordon Nelson of Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. --- typed by CA.
