PAINTER, Nora Bennett - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Nora Bennett Painter of Mellott, age 81, died Sunday morning, April 10, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica. She was born at Tompkinsville, Kentucky, February 8, 1892. November 20, 1915, she married Perry Bennett, who died December 12, 1968. In 1970, she married Carl Painter, who died April 23, 1980. Mrs. Painter was a member of New Antioch Christian Church at Mellott.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mary Oakley of Mellott; three stepdaughters, Ethel Bennett of Attica, Doris Proctor of Mellott and Eva Powell of Lafayette; three stepsons, Robert Painter of Plainfield, Kenneth Painter of Covington and Charles Painter of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Irene Dixon of Danville, Illinois, and Ethel Pollitt of Paris, Illinois; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial was in Wolf creek Cemetery near Wallace. – thanks to S
