John Edward Painter, 19, of near Portland Arch died in a Lafayette Hospital last Sunday 3 days after being stricken with infantile paralysis. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Painter, Covington Rt 3 and is survived by the parents, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Covington Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carl R. Townsend with burial at Fisher, Ill. – kbz
