Veedersburg - Pastor Leston Max Paddock, 61, Rt 2, Veedersburg died at
7: 50 p.m. March 30, 1992 at the United Samaritans Med Center, Logan
Campus. He was born July 27, 1930 at Danville, Ill son of Charles A. &
Nettie Aileen Strebin Paddock. He married (Reno, Nev) 9-10-1952 Alice
Dewitt who survives. He attended Marshall schools & Midwest Baptist
College, Danville, Ill. He was Associate pastor for 4 years and pastor
14 years at Coopers Chapel. He was chaplain for the Korean War Vets
Association, Robert Wurtsbaugh Chapter, Danville, Ill. He has resided in
the Veedersburg area most of life. Surviving besides his wife are his
mother, Rockville; 4 sons, Steven and Charles both of Veedersburg; Randy
and Darren from Covington, a daughter, Patti Harkelroad, Covington; 5
brothers, Pete, Zionsville; Frank, Veedersburg, Bob, Crawfordsville;
Bill, Carmel; John Putnam, Beecher City, Ill; 3 sisters, Maxine Jones,
Marshall; Norma Hobbs, Danville, Ind, Deloris Brown, Indiana and 9
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and two
grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coopers
Chapel Church with Randy Paddock officiated. Burial in Coopers Chapel.
Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg was in charge of arrangements.
