Funeral services for John L. Oxley, whose body was found Tuesday morning at Sunny Inn near Veedersburg, were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Methodist Church at Wingate. The church pastor, the Rev. Raymond Otto, officiated.
Military rites were held by Wingate Post No. 174 of the American Legion. The body was removed to the Teague Funeral Home in Wingate and at 4 p.m. Wednesday was removed to the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Oxley. Burial was made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate.
