ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) — Edmund Francis Oteham, 80, of 204 Hollovy, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday (Sept. 21, 1970) at Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been a patient there three weeks and had been ill three weeks. He was born in Water Landkerk Zeeland, Holland, Nov. 19, 1889, the son of Ferdinand and Prudence Zeegers Oteham. He was married to Iva Mae Kellam, who preceded him in death Aug. 11, 1924. He married Mary Luella Stranglemier in Covington Aug. 25, 1925. He had resided in Attica since 1892. He was a maintenance foreman at the Harrison Steel Casting Co. for 32 years. In 1941, he opened a blacksmith and welding shop where he worked until retiring in 1968. Survivors include his widow; three sons, Wayne of Kokomo, Robert of Attica and Francis of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Joan) Tucker of Attica; two brothers, Frank of Attica and Harry of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Russell Ogborn of Attica; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, a daughter and a grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday at DeSutter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. - waw

Mr. Oteham was born in Water Landkerk, Zeeland, Holland and came to Attica with his parents in 1892. He was married to Iva Mae Kellam who died in 1924. He was them married in Covingtin in 1925 to Mary Luella Stanglemier of Attica who survives. He was a foreman in maintenance at Harrison Steel Casting Co for 32 years. IN 1941, he opened a welding and blacksmith shop which he operated until he retired two years ago.  Also surviving are three sons, Wayne of Kokomo, Robert of Attica and Francis of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Tucker of Attica; two brothers, Frank of Attica and Harry of Covington, a sister Mrs. Margerite Ogborn of Attica.- kbz

Oteham, Edmund F. – Friends may call at DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica after 5 pm. Wednesday. Service in DeSutter Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two sisters, a daughter and grandson preceded him in death.
