OSBORN, R. S. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown Feb 27 - RS Osborn, a well known and prominent resident of this place died this morning at 4 o'clock at the age of 71.  Complication of diseases incident to age caused his death.  Mr. Osborn was a well known newspaper man having once owned the Waynetown Despach, Hillsboro Times and The Blue Pencil of Marshall. Besides being well known as a newspaperman, Mr. Osborn had taught school in Coal Creek township for a number of years and was most successful in that capacity.  His wife, Mary Grenard Osborn preceded him in death several years ago.  Two children survive: Lennie Osborn, trustee of Wayne Township and one daughter, Bertha Osborn.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
