Olive Osborn, 91, one of Veedersburg's oldest citizens and a lifelong resident of the city, died at her home here at 6 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Osborn was born March 2, 1864, the daughter of Isaac and Margaret Swarner Death. She was married Sept. 3, 1885, to John L. Osborn, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church. Although Mrs. Osborn had five children, she had no grandchildren. The survivors include three sons, Fred Osborn of Danville, Ill., Richard Osborn of Indianapolis and Lawrence Osborn of Veedersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Furr and Mrs. Naomi Slusser, both of Veedersburg; a half-brother, Ed Death of Oklahoma City, and a half-sister, Mrs. Mary E. Simms of Chicago. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Owen in charge.
