Cornelia” as she was familiarly known accepted faith in Christ in early life
and has been a member of the Baptist church for sixty-six years. The religion
she sought and obtained was a solace to her when earth was receding, and she
claimed an inheritance in heaven and heavenly, treasures. She seemed to know
that the end was coming and said many times that all was well. She was a woman
of frugal and industrious habits and in her home was her greatest love shown.
Doing faithfully everything she could for the well-fare of her loved ones. A
kind friend and a faithful devoted mother is gone. Life’s faithful journey is
ended, its sufferings and sorrows are o’er. She has crossed the bar and lives
with God forever more. Those left to mourn are one son, one sister, one
brother, 13 grand-children and 12 great-grand-children. Funeral services were
conducted by Rev. A. J. Marshall at 11 o’clock Sunday morning at Bethel and
