"Attica" news -- Mayor and Mrs. Carroll Wallace attended the funeral of Harry Orvis of Danville, Ill Tuesday afternoon in Danville. Mr. Orvis, age 43 and a nephew of Mr. Wallace, was found dead in bed Sunday. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Effie Orvis, a brother and four sisters. - kbz
H.L. Orvis, former Veedersburg man and Veteran of World War II was found dead Sunday at his home in Danville. He was born Sept 6, 1907 in Veedersburg, the son of Lawrence and Effie Wallace Orvis and had been a resident of Danville for the past 20 years. He is survived by his mother, four sisters and a brother. Funeral services were Tuesday in Danville with burial in the Rockfield cemetery. - kbz
