Fay Leolus Odeneal, 63, of Kingman Route 1 died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, 1979, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, where he had been a patient for three days. He had been ill for two years.
Born Jan. 8, 1916, in Vermillion County, Ind., he was a son of Grady and Effie Holycross Odeneal. He married Ruby Runyan Dec. 6, 1936 in Danville. She survives.
Odeneal lived in Covington for many years, and attended schools there. He moved to Kingman in 1976. He was a farmer, employee at the General Motors Central Foundry Division plant in Tilton, Ill., laborer for the Indiana State and Fountain County highway departments and a driver for Moudy Trucking. He was retired.
Other survivors include his mother of Grand Rapids, Ky.; four sons, Carl Dean of Washington, Ill., Larry and David of Covington and Bill of Paris, Ill.; five daughters, Mrs. Rolland (Shirley) Woolwine of Kingman, Mrs. Rex (Marilyn) Johnson, Mrs. Ed (Delores) Bedwell and Mrs. Louis (Carol) Crowder, all of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Bill (Kathy) Beavers of Covington; a brother of Covington; a sister, Mrs. George (Lucille) Jones of Grand Rapids, Ky.; 24 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, his father and three grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery. - thanks to S
