William Cleveland Myers, age 83 of Attica, died at 10 p.m. Thurs May 9, at his home. He had been ill several years.  Mr. Myers was b. 9-7-1884 Parke County, son of Alfred and Delphia Sowders Myers.  He was married in 1909 in Rockville to Lena Mae Beeson who survives.  He had operated a general store in Parke County in 1918 and moved to Attica 1924. He and his sons operated the Myers Welding Shop and a land excavating business.  He was member of Wallace Lutheran Church.
Survivors in addition to the wife are one son, William; one daughter Mrs. Garland Carter; 3 sisters, Mrs. Edward Motherhead of Rockville; Mrs. Opal Keller of Wallace and Mrs. Mary Craver of Mattoon, Ill; four grand; one great. He was preceded in death by one son, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 pm. Sun at the Roemer Funeral Home, Rev. Don Ashley officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery.

ATTICA - William Cleveland Myers, age 83, of Attica, died at 10 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at his home.  He had been ill several
years.
Mr. Myers was born Sept. 7, 1884, in Parke County; the son of Alfred and Delphia Sowders Myers.  He was married in 1909 in Rockville to Lena Mae Beeson who survives.  He had operated a general store in Parke County in 1918 and moved to Attica in 1924.  He and his sons operated the Myers Welding Shop and a land excavation business.  He was a member of the Wallace Lutheran Church.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are one son, William of Kingman; one daughter Mrs. Garland Carter of Attica; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Motherhead of Rockville, Mrs. Opal Keller d Wallace and Mrs. Mary Craver of Mattoon, Ill., four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Roemer Funeral Home.  The Rev. Donald Ashley officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery here.  - jz
