Dillon, Mont.—Funeral services for Wayne Myers, 92, Dillon, were Wednesday. Burial was also in Dillon. He died Jan. 11, 1989.
  He had attended high school at Kingman.

Dillon – Funeral services for former creamery owner Dafford Wayne Myers, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brundage Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Warren Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery with graveside rites by the Dillon Masonic Lodge.  Known as Wayne, Mr. Myers died Wednesday at the Parkeview Acres Convalescent Center.  He was born Sept 5, 1896 near Yeddo, Ind to Austin and Emma Myers.
He moved to Miles City at age 20 and later lived in Billings and Missoula before moving to Dillon in 1938.  He owned and operated the Dillon Creamery.  He was a member of the United Brethren Centennial Church at Yeddo; Dillon Masonic Lodge; Dillon Elks Lodge and the only surviving charter member of the Dillon Kiwanis Club.  It was formed in Feb 1940.  Mr. Myers attended nearly every Indianapolis 500 auto race over a 60-year period that started in the 1920s.  He married Helen Miller in 1924.  She died in July 1957.  Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Retired AF Lt. Col. Dafford Wayne “Jump” Myers, Jr and Betty Myers of California; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Miller of Washington; sister Helen Cunningham; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. - kbz
