Covington, Ind - Warren E. Myers, 83, a retired Covington banker and father of US Rep. John T. Myers, Rep-Covington died Saturday July 13, 1974 at 11 a.m. at Tall Trees Nursing Home. He had been in failing health for 3 years. He was also a retired farmer. He had retired from the former National Bank of Covington. He owned drive-ins at Danville Ill and Terre Haute, Ind. He later owned a department store at Covington. He was a member of the Chamber of Comm. and Booster Club. A grad. of Veedersburg HS, he also grad. form Central Normal College, Danville, In. Born Oct 15, 1890 in Yeddo, he was the son of WH & Jeanette Bonebrake Myers. He married Mryra Wisher who died in 1965. He then married Ruth Ratcliff who survives. Hew as preceded in death by one brother and one sister. other survivors include another son, Wisher of Veedersburg, a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Marcia) Hanley of Covington and 8 grandch ; and two greats. Serices. will be at 2 p..m Tuesday at the Deverter Funeral Home, burial in Covington. Visitations will be after 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. - kbz

  Covington, Ind.—Warren E. Myers, 83, a retired Covington banker and the father of U. S. Rep. John T. Myers, R-Covington, died Saturday (July 13, 1974) at 11 a.m. at the Tall Trees Nursing Home. He had been in failing health for three years.
 
  He was also a retired farmer. He had retired from the former National Bank of Covington.
 
  He owned drive-ins at Danville, Ill. and Terre Haute, Ind. He later owned a department store at Covington.
 
  He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Booster Club.
 
  A graduate of Veedersburg High School, he also graduated from Central Normal College in Danville, Ind.
 
  Born Oct. 15, 1890 in Yeddo, he was the son of W. H. and Jeanette Bonebrake Myers.
 
  He married Myra Wisher who died in 1965. He then married Ruth Radcliff, who survives.
 
  He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
 
  Other survivors include another son, Wisher of Veedersburg, a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Marcia) Hanley of Covington, and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
 
  Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeVerter Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. – thanks to S
