Emanuel M. MYERS, “Haunce” as he was familiarly called, a retired farmer, died this morning at Culver Hospital at 1:45 from a complication of diseases superinduced by uremic poisoning. He had been ill about two weeks and had been at the hospital only a few days. He recently moved to a house near the Valley Mills as prior to that time he had resided on W. Wabash Avenue since he left the Martin & Myers Dairy which was located south of town on the Danville Rd. He was in charge of this dairy for about five years. Prior to that time he had farmed and was a well known threshing machine owner. He was the son of Joseph Myers, who was one of the leading farmers of Jackson Twp, Fountain Co. The deceased was born and reared on this farm. He married Addie Stanford several years ago while he resided near Alamo. She survives as do four sons, Ivan of Battle Creek, Michigan; Otis of Indianapolis and Sanford A. and Remley of this city, and four daughters: Mrs. Daisey Armantrout of near this city; Mrs. Jennie Wilson of Oregon; Mrs. Florence Smaltz of Illinois and Gladys at home. One son, George died several years ago. NW Myers the well known druggist of this city John Myers of Yountsville; Dock Myers of Danville are brothers and Mrs. Brook Thomas of near Wesley; Mrs. Jonathan Newkirk of Alamo and Mrs. Amanda Wirt of Indianapolis are sisters. The funeral will take place at Trinity Methodist Church Thursday at 10.

The funeral of Emanuel Myers will take place at 10 o'clock Thursday at Trinity Church and will be conducted by Rev. J. Milton Williams. The body was prepared for burial at the chapel of D. C. Barnhill's Undertaking Establishment on West Main Street where it has since remained. It will be taken to the church at 9 o'clock Thursday monring where those desiring to view the remains may do so before 10, at which time the casket will be closed.
