David E. Myers of Dothan, Alabama, age 55, died in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital, July 15, of an apparent heart attack. He was born at Hillsboro, July 2, 1926, the son of Robert A. and Grace Myers. He first married Edith Simmons and later Louise Quattlebaum. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. Myers was a member of Prairie Chapel Christian Church at Hillsboro and the VFW and American Legion at Slocomb, Alabama.
Survivors include the widow, Louise; three daughters, Diane Myers of New Richmond, Jo Ann Skipper of Taylor, Alabama, and Kay Everhart of Darlington; a son, Roger Dale of Alamo; three stepsons, Arthur L. Skipper of Kailua, Hawaii, Johnny and Steve Skipper of Taylor, Alabama; a sister, Elizabeth Pearson of Veedersburg; a half sister, Maxine Brown of Terre Haute; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Dothan with burial in Piney Grove Assembly of God Cemetery. – thanks so much to S
