Waynetown -- Fred F. Myers 72, Rt 1, Marshall, died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday n Union Hospital, Terre Haute two weeks after undergoing surgery. He had been in failing health the last 7 years. Born Jan 10, 1890, he lived in the same home all his life. He was a son of Henry A. and Sarah Catherine Myers Myers. He was married Oct 20, 1912 to Dora Ellen Teague. She died June 17, 1958. Mr. Myers was active in the Wolf Creek Church. He was a member and Past Master of the Wallace Masonic Lodge and a member of the Low Twelve Club at Wallace. He served on the Parke County Council. Educated in the Sugar Creek Townshp (Parke) schools, he attended the old Bloomingdale Academy. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Treva Peck, son-in-law, Goerge T. Peck and two grandsons, John and Hank, all of Tuscon, AZ and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wolf Creek Church where the body will lie in state for another hour preceding the rites, with Rev. John Servies officiatin and burial in Wolf Creek. Ared F. MYERS, 72 of Marshall RR 1, died Saturday Dec 29, 1962 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute two weeks after undergoing surgery. He had been in ill health for 7 years. Born in Sugar Creek Twp, Jan 10, 1890, he was the son of Henry A. and Sarah Catherine Myers. Mr. Myers lived his entire life in the house of his birth. He was united in marriage to Dora Ellen TEAGUE, Oct 20, 1912. She preceded him in death June 17, 1958. Educated in Sugar Creek Twp, Mr. Myers also attended Bloomingdale Academy. He was a member of the Wolf Creek Church and active in its affairs. He was a Past Master of Wallace Masonic Lodge and member of the Low 12 Club of Wallace. Mr. Myers had served as a member of Parke Co. Council. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Treva Peck of Tuscon, AZ; two grandsons, John and Hank Peck and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Wolf Creek Church wit Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery with the Servies Funeral Home of Waynetown in charge.
